JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Tech is responsible for installing, configuring, and supporting and organization's local area network (LAN) and attaching computer systems or a segment of a network system. Maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network to ensure 24/7 availability and Quality of Service for all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support these goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Note: Desert Imaging unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include but are not limited to:

• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including:

Computer hardware, Systems software, Application software, performs data backups and disaster recovery operations

• Diagnoses, troubleshoots and resolves

Hardware, software, network system problems

• Plans, coordinates, and implements network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
• Configures, monitors, and maintains applications, ie, PACS, RIS, email, and antivirus
• Manages access and coordinates use of company's Intranet and Extranet services with employees and external users
• Operates master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use
• Loads computer tapes and disks, and installs software and printer paper or forms
• Designs, configures, and tests computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
• Monitors network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
• Performs structured network cabling runs and terminations
• Confers with network users about existing system issues and how to address them

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent and
• Two (2) years of related work experience Applicant must have wide area network experience
• Must be a problem solver, continuous learner, able to communicate well, and able to work independently or in a team environment

• Must be able to travel within the area
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, walk, talk, listen, and reach with hands and arms
